Hey human!

I’m Vijaya Aswani, illustrator, noodle enthusiast, and collector of stories. I love capturing the warmth of small, human moments through my characters. The kind that (hopefully) makes you pause. 

I teach Visual Storytelling at Azim Premji University, where I try to be the art teacher I wish I’d had. The one with poms poms instead of a red pen. Cheerleading fearless, stress free and joyful creativity.

Outside the classroom, I run 'How to Draw Faces' workshops and take slow walks with my dog, Zacu.

Through my art, I hope to remind people that creativity has very little to do with what it looks like on the outside but how ecstatic it feels to be able to pour your heart out on paper. <3
